Privacy policy

Effective October 21, 2026. Plain-language version; it is the whole agreement, not a summary.

Who is responsible

ShrinkRadar is run by Samuel Torres (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@shrinkradar.com. This policy covers shrinkradar.com, the alerts service and ShrinkRadar Plus.

If you just read the site

No account, no ads and no tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics for cookieless, anonymous page-view counts (no personal data, no cross-site tracking). Our host (Vercel) processes standard server logs, such as IP address and user agent, to deliver pages and stop abuse; we do not use them to profile you.

If you have an account

Email address: to sign you in and send the alerts you asked for.
Watchlist, alert settings and alert history (the last 300 alerts): to run the service.
Sign-in records: we store a hashed session token, not the token itself; sign-in links are single-use and expire in 20 minutes.
Billing status: your Stripe customer ID, plan, renewal date and payment status. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them.
Abuse protection: short-lived counters keyed to a hash of your email or IP address, deleted within 2 days.
Your vote in member polls.

Cookies

Signing in sets one essential cookie (__Host-sr_sess, HttpOnly, 30 days) that keeps you signed in, and a harmless helper (sr_in) that only says “signed in” so pages know to load your account. No advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages.

Who processes it for us

Vercel (hosting, storage and cookieless page-view analytics, USA)
Resend (sending email, USA)
Stripe (payments, invoices and tax, USA/Ireland)

We never sell, rent or share your email address for marketing. Data may be processed in the USA; our processors use standard contractual safeguards for transfers.

Why we may use it

To provide the service you signed up for (contract), to keep records tax law requires (legal obligation), and to keep the service secure (legitimate interest).

Emails

Alert emails have no tracking pixels and no tracked links. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We may also email you about your account and billing; you can’t turn those off while you have a paid plan.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. Delete your account in the alerts hub (or email us) and we delete your email, watchlist, settings and history within 30 days, including backups as they rotate. Stripe keeps payment records as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its use. Most of this is in your alerts hub; for anything else, contact support@shrinkradar.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Sightings

If you submit a shrinkflation sighting, we store what you send (including your email, if given) in a private review queue, only to verify it. We delete it once reviewed, and we never publish your email.

Children

ShrinkRadar Plus is not for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we email members before it takes effect.
