What ShrinkRadar is

ShrinkRadar documents shrinkflation: package-size cuts, per-unit price rises and recipe changes, each linked to its source. Reading the site is free and needs no account. ShrinkRadar Plus is an optional paid membership that adds watchlists and email alerts.

Accounts

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. One account per person. You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live.

Plus: billing and renewal

Plus costs $5 per month or $48 per year, in US dollars, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies. Payments are processed by Stripe.
It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We charge the card on file at renewal.
You can cancel any time from your alerts hub (Manage billing). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for.
If we change the price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries for a few days. Plus keeps working for up to 7 days; after that, alerts pause until payment succeeds.

What alerts can and can’t do

Alerts depend on our sources and on daily checks of public product databases. We do our best, but we cannot promise that every change is caught, or caught at a particular time. “Instant” means at the next send after we detect or verify a change. Nothing on ShrinkRadar is financial, legal or purchasing advice.

Fair use

Please don’t: share your account; scrape the site, the alerts hub or the API, or download content in bulk; resell or republish our data as a dataset; probe or overload our systems; or use alerts for spam. Linking, quoting and citing individual pages with credit is welcome. We may suspend accounts that break these rules; if we end a paid membership for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part.

Our content and sources

Case write-ups, charts, the ShrinkRadar Index and the site design are ours. Each documented case links its original source, which belongs to its publisher. You may quote and cite individual cases and figures with credit; bulk reuse or republishing of our dataset needs our permission (see licence). Daily product data comes from Open Food Facts, Open Products Facts and Open Prices; that data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL) from those projects, and our use of it is credited to them. Files you obtained under an earlier open licence keep that licence.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may improve or change features. If we make a material change to these terms, we email members at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, cancel before then; we refund any unused part of a yearly plan.

Warranty and liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
