Did Nestlé Dairy Box Winter Collection shrink?

Source and evidence

Against official inflation: ONS CPI (UK) “sugar, jam, honey, syrups, chocolate and confectionery” changed +7.2% (12 months to Dec 2024). The size cut alone raises the price per unit by +11.1% if the shelf price stayed the same (the source recorded no prices). Every case is compared the same way in the ShrinkRadar Index.

What the source says

“…When you work it out per 100g, that’s a 'magical' price increase of over 30%. Then there’s Nestlé’s Dairy Box – the ‘winter collection’ now has 36 chocolates instead of 40, and only contains eight different chocolates instead of 10.”

More from the UK: the UK Shrinkflation Tracker has all 175 documented cases, sortable and filterable.
